What is it? The kit contains an auxiliary battery pack and several electronic modules to add to the Prius' abilities

 

Our plug-in kit has three modes of operation:

.


      - Normal Prius - in this mode the vehicle acts and drives just like a stock Prius



      - Enhanced Prius - in this mode the auxiliary battery pack in engaged, and enhanced performance and mileage are gained. Some owners have reported over 100 miles per gallon on pump gasoline.



      - Electric Vehicle or EV - in this mode the gasoline engine does not turn on. Maximum speed is limited to 52 MPH, and range will be 10 miles or more, depending on terrain and driving style.


      - To change from EV mode to either other mode, the vehicle must be completely stopped.



    Pioneer Conversions offers complete, high-quality PHEV conversions. The following conversion systems are available:

    • - 5 kW-hr Lead Acid (PbA) Prius Pack
    • - 4.3 kW-hr Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Prius Pack
    • - 10.2 kW-hr Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) Prius Pack

    Lead Acid to Lithium Iron Phosphate Upgrade

    The lead acid and 4.3 kW-hr lithium iron phosphate systems use the same enclosure. If you already own a lead acid system you can upgrade it to the 4.3 kW-hr lithium iron phosphate pack without replacing the entire system. The lead acid to 4.3 kW-hr lithium iron phosphate upgrade is available for $4,495.+

    * Warranty covers all components except batteries. Batteries are covered by battery manufacturer warranty, typically 1 year.
