What does a controller do?

The controller is the part of the electric vehicle that determines how power flows from the batteries
to the electric motor. When you want to go faster, the controller is the part that determines how
to send electricity to the motor to do exactly what you want.

What Manufacturers do we like?

We're impressed with three controller manufacturers.

Curtis

Curtis makes excellent, ultra reliable controllers. Unfortunately, they have no controllers for voltages
over 144 volts, but hopefully we will have news about this in the future.

Zilla

Zilla makes the highest performance controllers available. Availability is difficult, and there is a very
significant wait time.

Raptor

We are encouraged to find Raptor 1200 controllers available, were pleased with the performance
and durability of the first units, and have some additional units on order.
